Planting 02: Cabbage

My order of seeds arrived yesterday, so today we planted cabbage seeds.

I plant these in peat pots because they are said to have more fragile roots, and peat pots allow you to transplant them directly into the ground.

We planted Optiko and One Kilo cabbages, which are asian type heading cabbages, and Brisk Green and Purple Pak Choi, asian type cabbages that grow stalks.  I was waiting for the seeds for the Purple Pak Choi to arrive.  We put two seeds in each of four pots per cabbage; any extra plants will be thinned after they have been transplanted.
