Weekend Harvest 02

Peppers can be left on the plant for quite a while, so we usually only pick them when we want to eat them.  I do pick them once they are completely red.  Here, the takiis ace pepper plants have a mix of red and green fruits.

The yellow banana peppers turn orange, then red, if left on the plant.

We have been harvesting blackberries for a couple weeks, but there are many more fruits still on the plants.  This photo was taken after picking the ripe fruits.

Here is this weekend’s harvest.  Compared to last weekend, we picked about twice as many tomatoes and blackberries.  We are starting to get more eggplant now, but still have no beans.  The pole beans do have a lot of flowers and small beans, so we will be harvesting them again soon.
