Weekend Harvest 05

The summer vegetables are producing less, but still producing.  It may seem like a lot, but that is because we aren’t picking them as often as we were.  I’m finding more tomatoes with mold problems, so I’ve started picking them before they’re totally ripe as they seem to keep better if I do.  We only got a couple of small okra, a couple of tomatillos, and a handful of blackberries.  We picked some nice yellow banana peppers and even some beans, which I thought were already done for the year.

My pawpaw trees seem to be producing ripe fruit over a long period; I picked a few more fruit, but there are many unripe fruit still on the trees.  The fall planting has yielded more radishes and mustard greens.

  1. Nice harvest, Brian, but you should have seen mine. I think I beat you this time! Haha, just joking, it’s not a contest, of course. Btw, would you please take a look at this post on Jenna’s blog; she needs help. It thought you might be able to ID what’s on the leaf.
