Beans, Eggplant, Pepper, Okra, and Blackberries

This weekend’s harvest is quite a bit smaller than last Friday’s, partly because it’s two days’  production rather than three, and because the days are getting shorter and cooler.

We’re still getting a good harvest of pole beans.  I picked one ‘yellow banana’ pepper that was turning red to protect it from being damaged by insects or disease. I also picked three ‘ichiban imp’ eggplant and four ‘Cajun delight’ okra.  The okra are continuing to bloom and produce new pods.  On the other hand, the blackberry harvest has dropped off rather abruptly.
