Early Tomatoes Are Up!

Three of the four tomato seeds I planted a week ago have germinated.  I don’t expect 100% germination, and three should be enough for one group of tomatoes.

Even though I am providing ten hours of overhead light each day, the seedlings are growing towards the window.  I turned the pot around after taking the photo, to encourage the plants to grow straight.

The bright, out-of-focus spots in the background are pieces of perlite in the potting soil.

Update:  The fourth tomato seed germinated a few days after the first three.
