First Tomato Flower!

One of the ‘Park’s early season starter’ tomato plants that I planted on March 14th has produced its first flower even though it is still growing in a pot.  I saw the flower bud a few days ago and have been checking it every day.

In the past, I’ve had tomatoes bloom and set fruit before I could transplant them into the garden.  Based on that experience, I hope to have ripe tomatoes by the end of June.

I’d like to transplant the tomatoes soon, but I don’t trust the weather just yet and I still have to prepare the garden bed for them.
